Elisha and the God who Sees

$65.00Price

2 Kings 1-13 encompasses the ministry of Elisha (Elijah’s disciples). It is striking the variety of issues that God deals with – both national and individual – both Hebrew national issues and foreign national issues – from providing nourishment for thousands of starving people to helping someone find the axe head they dropped in the river. In Genesis 16 Hagar and her son have been used and case aside. They have been treated like livestock and abandoned to die. In her most desperate moment, filled with despair she lays her child down and goes a few feet away so she wouldn’t have to watch him die – that was when God showed up and provided for her. Because of this – in Genesis 16:15 – Hagar says, “You are the God of seeing…” When there was no one else left – God saw her and acted. God sees all and the first 13 chapters of 2 Kings proves it.
